1 — What cookies are
Small text files stored by your browser. Ours fall into three categories: necessary (the site doesn't work without them), analytics (anonymous counting) and marketing (campaign attribution). Only the first category is set without asking.
2 — Consent, under the GDPR
Analytics and marketing cookies are set only after you opt in through the consent banner — never before, and never by default. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules). Necessary cookies are exempt from consent because the site cannot function without them.
Your choice is stored for twelve months, after which we ask again. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it — see below — and withdrawal never limits what the site can do. It takes effect immediately for any cookies we would set from that point on.
